Better Decisions Groups

Late adolescence and early adulthood is a time for making many decisions and choices. It is likely that not all decision will be "good ones".

Some decisions that can be labeled "bad" could result in problems at school, problems at home, issues with underage drinking/drug use, possession of marijuana and/or drug paraphernalia, or other legal troubles.

At First Step, we would like to do away with labels like "good" and "bad" decisions.  We help people simply learn how to make "Better Decisions".

Those decisions that are labeled "bad" do not necessarily need to lead to a diagnosis and/or treatment and we provide a service that does away with the shame and focuses on the learning experience.

First Step offers TWO DIFFERENT 8-week programs where participants can explore what might get in the way of making better decisions and how to work past these barriers.  There is no diagnosis and no need to use insurance to access this program. The weekly sessions are 1 hour long and the entire 8-week program costs just $175.00.  If needed or requested, we offer up to two individual or family consultations at $85 per consultation.

To ensure age appropriate learning - we offer the following programs:
